We are deeply saddened to share that Ron Hill, one of the members of the Black 14, passed away yesterday.

Ron was more than a remarkable athlete—he was a man of courage, conviction, and quiet strength. In 1969, he stood alongside his teammates in a moment that changed the course of college football history. In the decades that followed, he carried that legacy with grace, using his voice and example to inspire future generations.

Our hearts are with Ron’s family, friends, and all who were touched by his life. His impact will continue to live on—in the story of the Black 14, and in the countless lives he influenced.
